To a closed house
A person is inside -
Rearranging, organizing, sorting, cleaning
Applying oneself
To the many tasks at hand.
The major thing I’ve been doing behind the scenes related to my website is adding a shop – a real one.
It’s funny that after making webpages (still unpublished) related to my snake campaign (finger puppet sale) many months ago, I decided to abandon that idea and invest in a proper shop. I decided to go with Big Cartel because I can integrate it with my website. I can also integrate it with my print on demand store. But first I have to add a few more items, figure out shipping for those items, and open the store already.
If you’re not one of my 15 subscribers, you might consider becoming one. I intend to send out coupons via email once the store is open.
I don’t like those annoying pop-ups for subscribing to a website’s email, so I’ve avoided putting one on my homepage. But I’ve been thinking about it. And what I find annoying, others might find convenient.
I’m surprised sometimes when I look at my stats and see how many views my website is getting and I wonder who the people are. I imagine they’re people I’m connected to on LinkedIn who are just bored at work and looking for a quick read. But could they be potential customers?

In other news, A Map of Dragons, is out of my space and getting ready to be shown at the Tucson Botanical Gardens in a group show Artistry in Fiber which opens July 3. I’m definitely planning on getting to the reception for this show.
It’s August 23rd and it’s free!
If you’re in Tucson, it’d be fun to see you there!
