Before it slips away

I want to take note of the fact that

As I traveled across the country and back,

I went with gear made specifically for me by me:

A bag made from repurposed jeans

And a brand new strap that I finished the day before my trip.

This bag has two handwoven straps.

The strap is adjustable – I just have to remember my knots – and the bag is big enough to hold my electronics, paperback, and snacks. Plus a water bottle.

And when I didn’t need it so big, it was easy enough to cinch up and make a bit smaller.

The gold strap adjusts the opening to the main compartment.

I originally had hiking in mind, when I designed it. But it works well for other types of traveling. It may have even brought the Mets some luck.

Me at the Mets game with my bag.
