At the end of last week, I had a consultation with Denise Gasser, an artist I started following on Instagram. I’m pretty sure I learned about her and her work from listening to a Creative Ways podcast.
It was awesome to talk with her and have her help me figure out some issues I’ve been struggling with. It was also great to have an artist I admire give me kudos for my work.
After speaking with her, my creative embers were stoked and I realized that I wanted to create some smaller items. For me, this means working on a smaller loom since my tendency is to want to fill space. Since I didn’t have a smaller loom, I made a makeshift one from an unused wooden box on Saturday afternoon. And by last night, I had almost completed my first work in a new series. I plan to do at least four in this series – maybe more depending on how things go.

In other news, I decided to get back on Facebook and am working on setting up a page for Woven Bits.
And I hired someone to finish setting up my store. Trying to get the taxes and shipping correct was hurting my soul and I just needed someone else to do it.
