This morning I had cooperation from my child!
It makes all the difference in the world. We only left the house 5 minutes behind schedule. And we found three lost items in the lost and found at my son’s remote learning site – jacket, hat, and (most importantly) charger for the laptop!
On the way to work, I realized that I had left my coffee at home. Since getting out of the house on time has been such an issue this school year, I have built in extra time to our schedule so that I can get to work in a timely manner. So, I had time to swing by the house after dropping off my child and grab that coffee cup that was all ready to go.
I also checked in with the coordinator of my child’s afterschool program. She still could not tell me anything definitive, but I’m taking that as good news today rather than other.
I’m also doing my best to reframe the crapola news I was given yesterday. I had been wishing for more time to work on my own projects….. I just hadn’t been wishing that it would come at the expense of actual income.
And I publicly thanked my supervisor for all the work she has done (and continues to do) to fight the crapola decisions being made above her.
