The myth, or sacred truth, of America
Is that it is the home of the free
And the land of the brave.
The reality is that it is a capitalist country
And $ is king, the monarch, or emperor,
Influenced by fear in this land of the brave. We all live lies every day
Because Capitalism does not sit well with Democracy.
Capitalism, as we know it, is corrupt. It exists through the sufferings of people Here and around the world.
It is killing the planet from which it was born.
Democracy is about ending suffering.
One cannot have a true democracy when multitudes are suffering (and dying) Because of the systems in place.
America has never been great,
Except for those for whom it was designed – white males.
The idea of America has always been great.
It’s what brings multitudes to our shores.
I believe that America can be great,
But we haven’t been yet.
