As a creative multi-disciplinarian, I have interest and experience writing in a variety of styles and formats.

Here are some examples of writing I’ve done over the years, including:

Writing Portfolio

Library Flyers (2018-2024)

While I had been writing library flyers for about 5 years before these examples, I didn’t think to save any of them. For those who don’t know, Summer Reading involves a different theme every year.
Children and youth librarians try to match library programming and book collections with the Summer Reading theme.

Most of these flyers (but not all) are related to Summer Reading. The trifolds (from Martha Cooper Library) were created cooperatively with a coworker (using the Summer Reading graphics), but the copy (and the programming) was all done by me.

Business Writing

Reports written from the Children Services Department while at Floyd Memorial Library in Greenport, NY (Dec 2023 – June 2024).

Academic

A long time ago, I quested a folklore degree from the University of Oregon. From Bulls to Bikes was the written portion of my terminal project, which included a translated Irish myth into a video format set in Olympia, WA in the mid 1990s. The video included three parts – the narrative, an interview with one of the participants, and outtakes from the filming.
