Writer, Weaver, and Storyteller
Weaving words and wisdom
Intuitive Tapestry Weaver
I can keep big pictures and stories in mind, while refining details.
Lifelong Learner
As a mother of a tween, educational specialist, and former children’s librarian, I strive to make learning fun.
Copy Editor and Writer
Words matter. And how they are presented matters as well.
Solution Oriented DIY’er
I practice by doing and experimenting and accept failure as a part of the learning process.
Maker of Quirky Items
I find joy in the strange and weird. Do you too? I now have a POD store.
Brewer, Gardener, Hiker
I reclaim ancient knowledge, spaces, and ways to connect with previously hidden ancestral paths.
Writer
I have written in many types of formats – academic, informational, and fictional. I once wrote a rhyming play about the summer reading program where I worked and performed it with a coworker and puppets to an elementary school. The kids loved it.
My portfolio can be found here.
Weaver
I primarily weave tapestries and baskets made from discarded wires and often use repurposed items and upcycled textiles in my work. I am also learning how to use other types of looms – rigid heddle, inkle, and a Swedish counterbalance floor loom.

The clank from the yard at night
I heard the metal pail in the backyard being clanked around and thought what the heck…

Meh
I’m here at this place on Mondays. It’s because my library’s administration couldn’t be bothered to make logical decisions based on locations and populations and instead took the easy way out by “letting” the managers figure it out on their own. It will likely be this way forever until my branch closes for a remodel…

What a week
I’m back at home with my child again this week due to a second quarantine from his school in less than a month.

The smell of night
After a tough day, I am noticing, enjoying, and especially grateful for my brugmansia plant right now.

Vaccine hesitancy?
So I keep hearing that some parents are hesitant about getting their kid a covid vaccine. Well, that is not my reality.

A Monday Smile
I get to go back to work today and I am so happy at the prospect! Just one job today.

I got approved for telecommuting
But it’s only while my son’s classroom is in quarantine. Apparently there was a close contact last week. So his whole class is remote this week. So far, it’s been much better than last year. Maybe it’s because he knows it’s just temporary… I get to work on Storyline. I’m super excited by this project.…

So Much Happening
All the time. It’s hard to find time. I finished my latest tapestry a few weeks ago. It came out really well.
