Three finished projects

I finally finished the tapestry of a wolf peering out of purple leaves that I began at the end of January. I think it turned out really well.

Two open warp weavings

I’m still working on putting together a short YouTube video about my experience with open warp weaving. I did do an update video a couple of weeks ago, but I’m working on another one for my guild.

I’m also trying to think of what design I’d like to weave in this style next. (And it’s fine if I don’t come up with something right away because I still have another tapestry to finish.)

The second project I completed recently is a seat cover twined from old sheets.

I’m surprised how quickly I got this one done.

One of my guild’s members taught a workshop on twining a placemat (or chair covering). I was mostly finished by the second meeting and completely done before the meeting ended. So, it took me about a week.

And the third finished project is currently at Desert Garden Gallery. It’s a rather large branch weaving – Nest.

Opening night of the Spring art show

My current projects include finishing the tapestry based on one of my son’s creations from fourth grade (I’m about halfway done), the YouTube video on open warp weaving, and learning pick-up weaving (Baltic style) on my inkle loom.

I’ve also been working on a project related to what I’ve been learning in my copywriting class. I haven’t thought about it in over a month, but I’m working on getting back to it. I’ve done too much work already to not finish this project. I think my next step is to reach out and ask for feedback during a coaching call. (Which will be kind of scary because everyone will see how weird I am.)

Happy Spring! I wish all you good readers good luck with your scary projects.
