I started a gratitude challenge today through my meditation app – Insight Timer – and really felt the experience of gratitude this morning.
As I’ve moved through my day, I’ve tried to keep the feeling alive.
It was really easy on my way to delivering books via bike to a home bound elder. First, I’m grateful to have meaningful work that gets me exercise. It was a beautiful day for a bike ride. I’m also grateful that there are plans to connect my neighborhood with a larger bike path system in Tucson. I hope that means it will be easier to navigate around the mall. (I don’t like having to become a pedestrian to cross Broadway, but I’m also done with biking on Wilmot – once was enough.)
As I was navigating around the mall today, I noticed animals on a school field and I did a double take. Then I took a picture. It’s not every day that you see goats grazing in a school area. It makes me grateful to live where I do. I love it when life challenges me to look twice (and slow down).

In the essence of gratitude, I wish you all some goat moments and a happy thanksgiving.
