This morning I finally just did the thing I’ve been thinking about for ages.
I made a silly short video featuring a finger snake puppet and posted it on YouTube. Golden Eyes (Nose & Tongue).
I’ve been watching a lot more YouTube this year than I ever had previously with both my child and another one I spend time with.
My twenty something self would have been all over this platform if it had existed when my twenty something self did. Alas, it did not. So I’m late to the game, and I’m trying out some weird things, because it fits.
(A few months ago I applied for a job and it required answering questions in a video and posting it on YouTube so that the employers could view it without having to meet a person in person. After not hearing anything for a while, I went to take it down and saw that it had over 700 views. WTF? Why? Cringe.)
I was showing off my Ahsoka snake at the fiber show a couple of weeks ago to some Star Wars fiber nerds, talking about one if my video ideas and they encouraged me with kind words.

“I would watch that!”
We’ll see.
I plan to mostly just do shorts. And many of them will be for kids, but not all. If I feature Sangria Snake, that video won’t be for kids. And I know that I won’t be one of those folx that posts many times a week. At least not until I get some lightsabers made.
