But instead, I thought I’d apply for a job.
My eyes are too good and I question things that I don’t understand (when I can). I questioned something I saw in the job posting and was told it might be a mistake.
But the deadline was Halloween and I’m a folklorist who celebrates, so I took the time to apply today. I felt pretty fine for an hour or two after I submitted, until I received an email that the job was canceled.
Probably because it had a mistake (which I saw and asked about). I wonder if this organization gives points for finding errors in job postings. Probably not. So whenever they get around to fixing the mistake and reposting, I can spend some time applying again.
But in my updating my resume, I noticed that there’s a picture of me on one of the Stony Brook University Library pages.

I also noticed the title of my good friend on her company’s website: Director of People and Culture. It’s got a much better vibe to it than Human Resources Manager or Director.
