Stars, Snakes, and a Raven

So yesterday, I finished the last ornamental woven paper star made to sell at Fiber Arts Tucson, which happens in a couple of days.

This is exciting for me because I’ve never tried selling anything in a big sale like this.

There will be so many beautiful scarves, baskets, and towels. And then there will be my weird things.

I have 10 handwoven snake finger puppets, 10 ornaments, and one circular weaving – Raven Gets the Worm.

If it doesn’t sell, I’ll gladly put it back on my wall.

This morning I heard a raven making those very cool crooning and clicking sounds nearby and went out back to see him or her very close sitting in the eucalyptus tree. I think there may be a nest in the pine in the neighbor’s yard. I often see one or two there. They don’t often hang out in my backyard and talk for a while, so I was enjoying it while I could. I just wish I could speak raven.

Here are some of the very cool stars and snakes I will be selling. The stars are all made from repurposed paper and the snakes are all different.

PS – I’m trying to link this post to my Bluesky account and somehow I think it’s going to post it twice. I follow the instructions and I get weird results.
