Spotlight on Ahsoka Snake

Anyone who knows me knows that I’ve always been a huge Star Wars fan. I saw Episode IV: A New Hope for the first time the summer it came out when I was 7. I went with my family to a movie theater in Bloomfield, NJ. (It made a big impression. I also saw Return of the Jedi on opening night at a different movie theater in NJ – maybe in Wayne?)

While I have only woven one Star Wars tapestry, I’ve thought of many others I’d like to do.

A close up on Grogu from “Grogu’s Smile” woven by me.

One of my favorite characters (besides Mando and Grogu) is Ahsoka Tano. She has her own (single season) series now, but she originally showed up in The Clone Wars as Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan (apprentice Jedi). She gave up being a Jedi sometime before Anakin gave in to his dark side. And I never finished watching The Clone Wars because she left.

Anyway, because I haven’t yet done an Ahsoka tapestry, I wanted to make one of my recent finger snake experiments in her style.

The blue, white, and orange rust, are her colors. The braids on my snake represent her montrals and headtails. The black and purple background represents space. Maybe someday I’ll make two light sabers for her, but for right now she’s complete.

May the Force be With You!
