I spent a bunch of time working on my very slow rigid heddle project this weekend.
Even though it’s super slow, I’m excited to be at a point where I need some guidance with my picture weaving. Because I can’t really put a drawing behind the loom (although I have one near me as I work), I marked my warp strings instead.

I realized after making some headway that I should have made an adjustment and added more teeth. I hope my creature doesn’t look too goofy with only two teeth. (In my original drawing I only had room for two. I could have fit in a few more in the tapestry.)

I also had the thought that once I finish this piece, I should try this same piece on the floor loom and see how it flows. The floor loom is wide enough that I wouldn’t have to weave it sideways.

In other weaving news, the finger snakes are off the loom. I’m still working on eyes and backings for each snake to keep it on the finger.
