I had a really good time at the Tucson Fiber Arts Show and saw some really amazing handmade items. The person who was with me at the tapestry table had a very cool double sided loom. It inspired me to make use of some old pvc pipes lying around.
I made myself a new loom!

I’m trying out some new wedge weaving techniques in this weaving. We’ll see how it turns out. I think I may already have made some mistakes.

I’m also coming along on my leaf/ branch weaving. I don’t have a current photo, but I only have a few more sections to fill.

One of the reasons I was so excited to make a new loom is that the work on my tapestry loom is coming along at a slower pace.
I kinda had a breakthrough yesterday when contemplating how to tackle the upper landscape. I had been thinking about trees and vegetation and moved some of the waterfall strings into a different place. It kind of changed my whole perspective on the piece.

I decided I’m not going to worry about the upper hillside too much. I want to shape this waterfall into a wildly woven nature deity. A water goddess with both creative and destructive powers.
So those are some of the things I’m currently working on.
