It’s hard for me to believe that I’ve been back in Tucson for over a month. Time is bizarre. I’ve been busy cleaning my house, upgrading appliances, unpacking, sorting, filing, and enjoying monsoon rain. (I’ve also been enjoying a bit of quiet time, now that my son is back in school.)
As walls and spaces get cleaned, I’ve been trying out new places for art in my home. I finally got around to cleaning the wall behind the piano yesterday. Today I moved my tapestry – North Fork Dreams – into that space. I really like it there.

The tenants that were in my home were filthy creatures with way more pets than they told me. As far as I can tell, they never cleaned up until two hours before we got back to town. And they left me a lot of things that need fixing – like a mouse problem.
So, life has been busy but I’m starting to get back into a groove. It seems like all the mice are gone (although the exterminator is still checking traps). I pulled out my current tapestry and have added a bit since NY. My not a creeper is now sporting some braids.

I also made another small weave on a cardboard loom since returning. I’ll try to remember to blog about that next time.
