Well, it’s not a creeper – or so I was informed by my son. I guess the color is all wrong for consideration.
I originally had the idea to weave just a Minecraft head in an experimental loom made from an old kids building toy. I found a coloring sheet to help provide some guidance.

But when it was finished, it didn’t seem done. It seemed to need more than just a face.
So in the spirit of experimentation, I decided to try and weave a box in a box.

Warping the loom was much more difficult for this project.
I had to devise a system to keep my strings from tangling. It was tedious. In addition to adding the first weave to the warp, I also added some repurposed items for body parts.
Then it was time to start weaving background blocks.
