Woo hoo! After an unsuccessful attempt at setting up an Etsy store, I now have a store on Shopify. I have three products listed and hope to add some more next week.
The last month and a half has been a bit of a whirlwind with leaving the library, sickness, holidays, back strain, and so much web work.
I had met with a small business/ artist mentor back at the end of November who suggested many things, including separating my weaving work from everything else. She mentioned that I might confuse customers if I have too many things going on one website.
So, I now have three websites. I updated my (first) reader’s advisory blog – Dun and Red – which had been stagnant for about four years. Most of the book reviewing I have done in the past few years, I have done as a librarian at work. I will continue to use this for future book reviews.
I also created a new website, which is still very much under construction. This is where I am attempting to connect the seemingly disparate parts of my life into the whole of my journey.
I plan to post more regularly to each, once I have more of a rhythm established. It’s been pretty challenging trying to find this rhythm and I’ve been leaning hard on my meditation app. (I joined a healthy habits for the new year challenge that has been really helpful. My favorite so far has been “Chakras” with davidji. The first time I practiced this, I felt noticeably transformed afterwards.) I plan for this blog to focus upon my fiber art and weaving business. If you’ve been enjoying opinions and thoughts not related to weaving, please check out (and subscribe to) my new blog.
Namaste!
