This morning my son and I had a really good discussion. He told me that he really doesn’t like his in class time at school. I told him that we could look at other schools that might suit his learning styles better, but he doesn’t want to change schools. And at this point in the pandemic, I am not going to rock his world and chose something for him that he is opposed to.

Then he asked me if I like my job. And I explained to him that I used to love my job, but I don’t anymore. And that’s because I don’t get to do the fun parts of my job anymore – storytime and programming.

Not only that, I don’t like the organization I work for anymore. I feel like I have gotten the short end of the stick for far too long here.

And that is why I am planning to leave in a bit over a year.

I wonder if the great resignation will still be happening at that point as well…..
