I heard the metal pail in the backyard being clanked around and thought what the heck…

My son was already in bed and the dog was following me around the house because someone was lighting fireworks in the neighborhood.

I stepped out into the backyard and saw a javelina real close to the house and many pairs of glowing eyes scattered throughout the yard.

My son left the side gate open and a whole family of javelina decided to investigate.

I already lost a couple of plants in the front yard to these guys a couple of months ago. So I get out there with a pot and a lid and made a bunch of noise until they left.

Then I got the gate closed.
