I got approved for telecommuting

But it’s only while my son’s classroom is in quarantine.

Apparently there was a close contact last week. So his whole class is remote this week. So far, it’s been much better than last year. Maybe it’s because he knows it’s just temporary…

I get to work on Storyline. I’m super excited by this project. Kids can call a number and hear a different story each week. Last week (at the library), I recorded The Wheels on the Tuk Tuk by Kabir and Surishtha Sehgal. It was both weird and fun to do voice recording again. I had to create a weekly podcast for one of my graduate classes.

I really enjoyed making podcasts. Maybe if I really enjoy this, I can try to do it again.

I recorded the one I want to do next today, but I am going to try and do a take with Maka tomorrow. He said he wanted to help with that title when I asked him to help out with a different book. (It’s a favorite of his as well).

We will see how it all goes…

The school called today to inform parents that they were going to cancel all Halloween parties due to safety. When I told Maka that, he responded that his teacher said that they could have a virtual costume party. Then he will have the difficulty of choosing which costume…
