A Cat Came into the Library

She was sitting in a stroller being pushed by a woman who insisted she was a service animal.

She looked a bit like my cat with her tortoiseshell markings.

The woman did not like me telling her that her mask needed to be worn properly (over her nose as well) if she wanted to remain inside.

They didn’t stay long.

That was in the first 20 minutes we were open.

And it took me another 2 hours to try to come back to calm. The stress of monitoring adult behavior in a pandemic is real and hard.
