Today is a day for love

In a country gone crazy.

Today is a day for gluten free sourdough bread. So delicious. It came out so much better than the last time.

I love experimenting in the kitchen. I just don’t do it as much anymore when there are so many other interests to explore.

I learned how to make a silk flower a couple of days ago.

First fabric flower

I think I should make many more. And since I like to use what I have, and I don’t have much silk, I’ll try making them from other types of repurposed fabrics.

Marianne Williamson was in my meditation challenge this morning. (I haven’t thought of her since 2016 and the democratic primary debates). She was suggesting to step back and let love lead the way today. That started my day differently.

I’ve been pretty quiet on the blog these days as I’ve been learning new things and trying to apply them directly to my personal goals.

The big project (of love) I’ve been working on is my snake campaign.

It’s big because it has a lot of steps. I’m taking what I’m learning in my copywriting class and applying it directly to my art business rather than focusing on the suggested exercises.

[I have done many of the exercises, but I started having issues with not having enough information about certain products – which I could have made up – and second guessing why I would want to write ads at all in a cancerous consumer driven culture.]

So I created my own exercise. And it revolves around the 10 finger puppet snakes I made last fall.

Five of the ten snakes

I’ve also added a writer section to my website with plans to add a storyteller section in the future.

And I’ve posted more than a couple of videos on YouTube. (Look at the Shorts tab).

And three of my wire baskets will be on display at Roche Tissue Diagnostics in Oro Valley for an art show with a transformation theme using repurposed materials starting next week.

This is one of them

I don’t want my finding paid work failures to hold me back from my potential to earn income as a creative person. I am transitioning from one mindset to another.

I plan to work with felt today.

And eat more sourdough bread.
